  • Can I Contribute to the Ace Design project?

Yes.  There are several ways you can contribute.  The first is to provide a series of tips or a tutorial on a specific topic of your choosing.  Just remember it needs to make the Internet a better place.  You can contribute to our blog, and you can make suggestions for sites that we should include.

  • What are Ace Designs?

This is our effort to collect examples of designs from around the Internet that are examples of quality sites. In keeping with our theme we limit this to 11 sites, on any one topic, at any one time. If you would like to nominate a site, please use our contact form. Sites will be human reviewed and if they qualify as an ace design they will be rotated in as others are rotated out.

  • Can I Submit Tips and Tutorials?

Tips and Tutorials: Our tips and tutorials are intended to assist web designers, graphic designers, and search engine optimizers by providing valuable information on a variety of topics. Tutorials are created both by acedesign.org and others with expertise in these areas.  We hope you'll consider submitting a tutorial.  If accepted, your tutorial will be given its own page which we will highlight and which you may link back to your own site from.  Please be aware that we are attempting to establish best practices and therefore we do not accept every submission.

At Ace Design, we get spam on a daily bases so we are keenly aware of the problem.  Please read our TOS and  Privacy Policy to see how we handle email addresses provided to us.  You may also be worried about unsubscribing from the blog. This is not a problem since at the bottom of every email there will be a link that does just that.

  • What are the Two Badges in the Right Side Bar for?

The 'World Wide Web Consortium' (W3) is an international consortium where member organizations, full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards. These are the accepted standards of making website's. You can read more about the W3 here. In today's web design world it a a good idea to keep up to date and comply with these web standards, and it can give a better end result to the client such as better results in search engines, and better accessibility for people with disabilities that could otherwise prevent them from browsing the Internet. The two badges on the right side bar show that every page of this site is up to date with the very latest web standards. If you click one, it will take you to the W3 website where it will perform a live test on the page that you clicked it from, and if you clicked it from an Ace Design page you will notice the bar comes up green, stating that that page 'validates' with web standards.

  • What are 'Featured Sites" in Your Side Bar?

Featured sites, displayed on the bottom of the left side bars, are our favorite websites that we wish to highlight for you.  They cover all sorts and types of sites from music exploration sites to social networking sites, so its a good idea to check back often to see the pick of the web!
